Welcome Lashawnda Thomas Hairston!

BGCBR would like to welcome Lashawnda Thomas Hairston as our new Smart Smiles Coordinator! Lashawnda is a 1994 graduate of Martinsville High School. She received her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Education in 2009 and holds three certificates in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Instruction and School Age Childcare, and the Virginia Department of Social Services Family Daycare.

Lashawnda has been with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Blue Ridge for one year serving as Unit Director of Irisburg Elementary. She is married to Edward F. Hairston and has three daughters, Janeka, Briana, and Cotoria and a Maltese puppy, Jazmine.
