Youth of the Month

Congratulations to Valencia Jamison named Student of the Month at Albert Harris Elementary. Valencia is a wonderful student. She is very talented and artistic. She loves to draw, write short stories and poetry. She also loves cheerleading and basketball. She is a joy to have at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Blue Ridge. She gets two thumbs up from all of us at Albert Harris! Congratulations!

My name is Tomi Reynolds and I am in the 6th grade at Laurel Park Middle School. I have been a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Blue Ridge for? almost 2 months now. My hobbies are swimming and drawing. The BGCBR has helped me make new friends, and it has inspired me in so many? positive ways! For instance, Mrs. Laura has inspired and helped me draw and? paint amazing things! Thank you for the opportunity of being Student of the Month at the Teen Center!

Sanville Elementary Boys & Girls Club is announcing its April 2010 Youth of the Month. The award this month goes to John “Nick” Foley. He is a 5th grader at Sanville Elementary. Nick is the son of John and Deb Foley.

Nick’s behavior has improved over the last couple of months. Since his behavior has improved, being a mentor to others is a shining characteristic of his actions. He is respectful to the staff and his peers, and never complains when his help is asked for.

His favorite sport is soccer and he lives to play dodge ball.

Sanville’s BGC club is proud of all its boys and girls, especially of those who work so hard to BE GREAT and receive this award! Keep up the good work, Nick!

The Youth of the Month for April 2010 is Savasiah Boyd. Savasiah is in the 2nd grade at Irisburg Elementary School. She has only been with us for 2 months this school year. She is very respectful and courteous to staff and her peers. She comes to club everyday with a positive attitude and is always willing to help others. Savasiah is a good role model. Congratulations! We are so proud of you!
